  1. For our third workshop we took a botanical walk through the bushland at nearby Cantonment Hill. Tha APACE guide to plants of the Cottesloe Limestone Ridges is a useful conspectus of species to be found: http://apacewa.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Cottesloe-yellow-12-pages.pdf

  1. In the final (fourth) workshop we looked in more detail at various methods of identifying plants in your area through:

    1. local species lists, eg. Apace, Queens Park Bushland, Wireless Hill

    2. simple database searches: FloraBase advanced search

    3. a tip: type "Acacia Fremantle site:https://florabase.dbca.wa.gov.au" into a Google search bar to restrict searches just to the FloraBase site and, if necessary, click on the Images tab to peruse all found species images from that site. NB. any one or two terms can be used before the 'site' specification

    4. interactive keys, eg. Keybase.
